Since its establishment in 1957, Lansing Community College has expanded from its original downtown Lansing campus to encompass multiple locations; reaching far beyond the city's borders. This growth, accompanied by the inevitable passage of time, has given rise to a storied legacy that has enabled thousands of students to pursue their educational aspirations and carve out a path toward successful careers. Bob Garrett
Bob’s passion for history led to an interest in archives, and he earned a dual Master’s degree in Library Science and History from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He worked as an archivist for the State of Michigan for 23 years and became LCC’s College Archivist in November 2023. Outside of work, Bob likes to play euchre and listen to classic country music. His wife, Christiane Evaskis-Garrett, is the Collections Team Leader at East Lansing Public Library.
