Art Happens Here with Bruce Mackley
This fascinating show takes you on a journey across LCC to explore the inspired collection of art & sculptures located on our campuses and surrounding areas.
Our host will provide, in great detail, background and history on all of the sculptures on campus, from the 30 foot tall Red Ribbon in the Sky and our towering Elementary display to the many pieces of one-of-kind indoor art on display.
The Host
Bruce Mackley has designed several public and private art installations, and enjoys exploring non-traditional mediums. A finalist in both 2016 and 2017 ArtPrize exhibitions, his work has been featured on numerous arts and culture sites including My Modern Met, The London Economic, Bored Panda, and The Italian Design Institute. Bruce began his career as a newspaper editorial artist, and subsequently spent several years as an Art Director in agency settings. He is currently the Director of Marketing at Lansing Community College.
