Technology for reproducing sound has certainly evolved over the decades, but there is a new generation of audiophiles that believe when it comes to listening to music, vinyl records still “hold the record” for quality sound and "getting into the groove"! Now Spinning is a student-driven podcast presented by members of Lansing Community College’s Vinyl Record Club (VRC). Take a listen as the crew discusses their favorite playlists, recent musical finds, beloved albums, and other topics served on a wax platter.
The Hosts
LCC President, Dr. Steve Robinson founded Lansing Community College’s Vinyl Record Club (VRC) to connect with students who share his passion and love of music. In November of 2021, an exploratory meeting was held with three LCC staff members and one student to determine what the club would be. Three short months later, the first official meeting as a Registered Student Organization took place on February 24, 2022. Now, meetings are held monthly, open to LCC students, faculty, staff, and community members with topics that revolve around a love of music and vinyl.
