What's an event without entertainment? Star Standard events should not only be planned and presented at the highest level of excellence possible but should also provide guests and participants with an excellent experience. This can be achieved in several ways; this section details how to secure various forms of entertainment for your events including music, movies, and concession-style food.
Music and Movies
Music and movies help make an event more entertaining, engaging and in most cases, more festive. The College has music licenses with BMI, ASCAP and SESAC which allows music of all genres to be played on our campuses at events, meetings, and more. Learn more about playing licensed music at your events on the Music Licensing webpage.
If you are interested in showing a movie at your event, reach out to your Conference Services Coordinator to get started or fill out the Media Services 5Star Request.
Food Trucks, Bands/DJs, Concessions and Rentals
A few events a year are permitted to have food trucks, bands, DJs, concession rental, etc. at their event (Fall Kick-Off, Welcome Week, LCC Car Show, etc.). Once the use of a food trucks, bands, DJs, concession rental, etc. is requested through Conference Services, the internal event planner must contact the Director of Purchasing and the Director of Auxiliary Services for permission to have the food trucks, bands, DJs, concession rental, etc. on campus. Once approval is granted, the internal event planner must work with purchasing to gather the appropriate vendor paperwork no less than one week prior to the event.
Talk with your Conference Services Coordinator if you'd like to bring an outside food or entertainment vendor on campus.
