Scholarship Breakfast 2016 - The Promise of EducationOver 300 people, including almost 100 scholarship recipients, attended this annual event hosted by the LCC Foundation, H.O.P.E. Scholars, and Lansing Promise. Keynote speaker, Chris Holman, spoke about the importance of education in economic development and reminded students that education equals greater opportunities. Other speakers included Kellie Dean, Lansing Promise; recipient Destiny Kyle, on behalf of Promise/H.O.P.E.; and, Bob Hoffman and Hamid Mohammadi Eshman Komacha, on behalf of the LCC Foundation. Joan Bauer did a marvelous job of welcoming everyone to the event. |
