Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to the air quality within and around buildings and structures, especially as it relates to the health and comfort of building occupants. Understanding and controlling common pollutants indoors can help reduce your risk of indoor health concerns.
Please report concerns about odors to the Facilities Department at 517-483-1808.
Common pollutants in the workplace include perfumes, colognes, air fresheners, and other scented or scent delivering devices. It is the responsibility of the area supervisor or administrator to address these items in the workspace.
If you believe the IAQ may be causing you to become ill report it to your supervisor. Your supervisor will contact Occupational and Environmental Safety to request an IAQ investigation.
Air quality issues related to leased facilities (i.e. East Campus and Livingston Center) will be coordinated by Administrative Services with the landlord.
