Student Finance

Students shall remain current on their financial obligations to the College. Students must review, update, and accept the Financial Responsibility Agreement each semester of enrollment by logging into myLCC and selecting Banner, then Student, and "Financial Responsibility Agreement." Doing so will automatically release the financial responsibility agreement hold allowing for registration in courses. Review the Financial Responsibility Agreement.

The Student Finance office accepts many payment methods for tuition and fees. LCC offers payment plans through TouchNet to help you budget the cost of your tuition into your monthly expenses. Enroll early for best payment plan selections. Students must understand their payment options and the risk of being dropped from courses if tuition and fees are not paid by the due date.

Students shall remain current on their financial obligations to the College. Students owing money to the College will not be permitted to register for a succeeding semester until such accounts are paid in full or addressed through a payment plan agreed upon by the college. Your unpaid balance will not go away on its own. You must take the steps necessary to resolve it before it goes into Collections. Contact the Student Finance Office to discuss your repayment agreement options.

Delinquent Student Accounts

Third party sponsorship or sponsored billing, is when an organization outside of Lansing Community College makes a promise or commitment to pay for educational expenses on your behalf. Visit Third Party Sponsorship for more details.

The scholarship remittance should provide student information and any specific requirements regarding the distribution of the award such as student's full name, Student ID, award year or term, and how funds are to be applied (tuition, fees, books, educational expenses, etc.). Also, indicate if any remaining scholarships funds can be paid directly to the student or be returned to the organization at the end of the semester or award year.

Upon receipt of the scholarship funds, it generally takes two weeks before the student is awarded the funds. Be sure to send funds early in order to ensure payment due dates are met.

Organizations interested in setting up ACH electronic funds transfer for these scholarship funds should contact LCC Accounting Services Department at FS-Accounting@lcc.edu or by calling 517-483-1732 for more information.

Tuition Waiver Benefit

Dual enrollment allows students to take college courses at LCC, away from their home high schools, and the credits they earn are counted at LCC and are highly transferable to other colleges and universities. While LCC has many opportunities for college credit in High School, the Student Finance Office only handles all direct billings for Traditional Dual enrollment. Refunds are automatically generated for students who have a credit (negative) balance on their student account. LCC is pleased to offer eRefunds through ECSI and TouchNet. Students must set up and choose a refund preference. More detailed information can be found in refunds.

Refunds

In accordance with the Tax Relief Act of 1997 and IRS regulations, LCC provides eligible students with Form 1098T. This statement shows qualified tuition and fees that were billed between January 1 and December 31 of a given tax year as well as financial aid paid between those dates.
