Lansing Community College

Information Security supports the mission of the College by identifying and mitigating risk through the development and maintenance of LCC's Information Security strategy, which includes IT policies and best practices, security training and awareness programs, security consulting, security monitoring and operations, secure architecture and vulnerability management.

Our goal is to balance confidentiality (only authorized users and processes should be able to access or modify data), integrity (data should be maintained in a correct state and nobody should be able to improperly modify it, either accidentally or maliciously) and availability (authorized users should be able to access data and resources whenever they need to do so).

Information Security is a team sport, in which users play a vital role. Through our security awareness outreach, we strive to assist users in becoming more knowledgeable, more security aware, and more proactive in their online activities.
