Lansing Community College

Our Purpose

We are dedicated to creating a campus environment where every person is valued, respected and empowered to reach their full potential. We recognize that it takes a conscious effort and focus on equity to drive lasting change that contributes to a vibrant, inclusive campus community.

Our Goal

We strive to create an equitable and inclusive campus climate where diversity is celebrated, and every community member can thrive.

We champion equity, inclusion, belonging and social justice through transformative initiatives supporting these principles. We challenge systemic inequities and support every member of our campus in achieving our goal.

Our Pillars

In support of LCC’s Culture of Care, the Office of Empowerment pillars are Love, Respect and Support. We continue this culture of care in the Martin Luther King Jr. Equity Center through the following pillars:

  • Accountability
  • Justice
