Student Ombuds

They provide students with information about existing channels for conflict resolution, appeals and grievances, support services available at the college, and offer options regarding these services and procedures. The ombuds is also an "agent for change," recommending modifications and improvements to rules, regulations, policies and procedures which are unclear, inequitable or unfair.

The ombuds process is informal: Does not maintain records, adjudicate, arbitrate or participate in formal processes.
The ombuds process is impartial: Considers the interests and concerns of all parties involved to achieve a fair and equitable outcome.
