Disbursements & Refunds

Authorized Aid

Financial aid will authorize to the student account when:

Outstanding student requirements are completed
Student has registered
Tuition and fees are billed

Authorized aid can be viewed in Banner Self Service via myLCC in the Student Tab under Student Finance, Account Detail by Term. Students with authorized aid will have their charges held on their student account until aid is disbursed.

Supply Advance

Students who have authorized aid greater than total tuition, fees, and other charges are eligible for a Supply Advance from LCC. To request this Supply Advance, please come back to this webpage in August 2024 to fill out a request form. During the first week of the semester, the advance will be disbursed to students using the student's selected refund preference through TouchNet. Book Voucher

For students who have authorized aid greater than total tuition, fees, supply advance, and other institutional charges, a maximum of a $600 Financial Aid Book Voucher will be advanced from LCC. The Book Voucher allows the student the option to purchase books at Barnes & Noble College (formerly known as MBS) Online Bookstore. To use the Financial Aid Book Voucher, students can follow these steps. Students who have a balance at checkout more than their Book Voucher amount will need to pay the difference to Barnes & Noble College.

Please Note: The Supply Advance and the Book Voucher are an advance from LCC. The full Supply Advance amount and actual amount used for the Book Voucher will be charged to your student account.

Grant & Scholarship Disbursements

Grant and scholarship funds will disburse to the student account during the fourth week of the semester. Specific dates of when financial aid will disburse and the amount of the disbursement can be viewed in Banner Self Service via myLCC by accessing the Financial Aid Tab, Financial Aid Record, and selecting Display Award Payment.

Loan Disbursements

Loan funds will disburse in multiple installments during the loan period. For specific dates of when loans will disburse, refer to Banner Self Service via myLCC by accessing the Financial Aid Tab, Financial Aid Record, and selecting Display Award Payment.

Refunds

If the aid disbursed is greater than the account balance, the student will receive a financial aid refund sent to their selected refund preference. Most refunds will be processed within three to five business days after the aid is disbursed to the student account; however, it could take up to seven business days.
