Foundation Scholarships

The Lansing Community College Foundation offers numerous scholarships, funded by the contributions of businesses, non-profit entities, and individuals, to students who meet the criteria established by the scholarship donors.

Students will be considered for all Foundation scholarships especially those most aligned with their career and academic goals.

Recipients may:

Be new or returning students depending upon the scholarship awarded
Reside in or out of district depending upon the scholarship awarded
Be full-time or part-time depending upon the scholarship awarded

Recipients must:

Have a minimum cumulative 2.0 grade point average. Many scholarships require a grade point average higher than 2.0.

Award Renewal Requirements:

Recipients must maintain good academic standing. Falling below a 2.0 GPA will automatically disqualify you for funding the following semester.
Recipients must continue to meet the donor criteria for the scholarship awarded.

The LCC Foundation Awards scholarships totaling over $400,000 per academic year. A list of the Foundation scholarships available in the various LCC divisions and departments can be viewed by clicking on the division link below.

General Scholarships

- Anang Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients may be enrolled in any program at Lansing Community College and be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits. Preference will be given to students of Native American heritage. Financial need will be considered.
- Barbara A. Thompson Award
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College, reside within the LCC district, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Recipients who have special needs or are enrolled in the HBCU Program will be given preference.
- Betsy Lou Robson Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must reside within the LCC district. Recipients who are lesbian, bisexual, gay or transgender, are under the age of 25 and have prior involvement with a LBGT advocacy group will be given preference. Financial need will be considered.
- Brandon and Seleana Samuel Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be first-generation college students at LCC. Recipients must be enrolled in a least 6 credits and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Brandon James Mitchner Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must reside within the LCC district. Recipients must be enrolled in a least 6 credits and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. Recipients must be graduates of Grand Ledge High School. Financial need will be considered.
- Budd-McCallum Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a public service program at Lansing Community College with a minimum of 12 credits, be pursuing a career in social work, health careers, public safety or teaching, and reside within the LCC district. Recipients entering college for the first time will be given preference.
- Canady Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a Lansing Community College program with plans to transfer to a 4-year institution, reside within the LCC district, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
- Carlos Ramon Galeana Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must reside within the LCC district and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to recent graduates of Williamston High School. Secondary preference will be given to Latinx students. Financial need will be considered.
- CASE Credit Union Scholarship in Memory of Constance Knowlton
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a Lansing Community College program, reside within the LCC district or service area, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Christina Setiawan Memorial Endowed Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be first-generation college students. Recipients must be enrolled in a least 6 credits and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to students in ESOL, Health Careers, STEM or Business programs at LCC. Financial need will be considered.
- Clark and Nancy Borgeson Technology Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in an Accounting, Computer, Business, Quality Assurance, Building Maintenance, Mathematics, Nursing, Health Care and Medical Technology, Science or Technology program of study at LCC, be a graduate of Leslie High School, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and have a current GPA of between a 2.0 and 3.3. After the scholarship is awarded, the recipient must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
- David L. Froh Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be returning to Lansing Community College for continued education in their field of work or for re-training purposes, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Recipients must demonstrate a commitment to becoming a productive member of the community in ways that express the values of social justice and community service.
- Dinesh Shah Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must reside within the LCC district or service area and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Ethel Huot Meerman Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients may be enrolled in any program at Lansing Community College, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
- Lansing Youth Exchange Club of Greater Lansing Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College, be a graduate of the Greater Lansing high schools (DeWitt HS, East Lansing HS, Eastern HS, Everett HS, Grand Ledge HS, Haslett HS, Holt HS, Lansing Catholic HS, Lansing Christian HS, Okemos HS, Sexton HS, and Waverly HS), be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
- Florence Clement Kremer Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College with plans to pursue a bachelor degree, reside within the LCC district, be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Recipients who are female and entering college for the first time will be given preference.
- Francis and Sandra Bernier Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must have a high school diploma or GED and be a first generation college students (no family member including parent, sibling, or grandparent has pursued higher education learning above high school level), be enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College, reside within the LCC district, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Godspeed Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be a graduate of Lansing Christian High School, be enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Grace Van Wert Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a Lansing Community College program pursuing a field leading to a bachelor degree, reside within the LCC district, be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
- Howard and Dorothy Jones Endowed Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College, reside within the LCC district, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 665 Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be members or dependent family members of the IBEW Local 665 enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 7 credits They must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Jacqueline D. Taylor Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 6 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
- Janice Fleischer Bruno Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 12 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Graduates of Mason High School will be given preference.
- Joan and William Hartwig Endowed Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College with plans to transfer to a Michigan college or university, reside within the LCC district, be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
- Joyce L. Hegan Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be unemployed, underemployed, or refugees, be enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 3 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
- LaMoreaux Family Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be registered in at least 12 credits at Lansing Community College, demonstrate financial need on the scholarship application and have a 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA. Working parents of at least one minor child will be given preference.
- Lansing Community College Alumni Association Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College, reside within the LCC district, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Lora Bell Kunze Lockhart Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients may be enrolled in any program at Lansing Community College and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Mathematics Department Endowed Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients may be enrolled in any program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 6 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Moloney-Peterson Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients may be enrolled in any program at Lansing Community College and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Preference will be given to minority applicants and applicants who have personal experience with mental illness. Financial need will be considered.
- Next Generation Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a technology, entrepreneurial or health careers program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 6 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Paul and Linda Loeffler Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a career program at Lansing Community College that leads to an employable career and have a 2.0 minimum cumulative GPA. Students enrolled in a technical or health careers program will be given preference.
- Peter MacFadden Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in any program at Lansing Community College. Preference will be given to students who have completed a GED. Secondary reference will be given to students enrolled in Building Construction, Communication, Education, Legal Studies or World Languages programs or participants in the ACCESS (formerly TRiO) program. Recipients must be enrolled for at least 6 credits and have a 2.0 minimum cumulative GPA. Recipients must be residents of the state of Michigan. Financial need will be considered.
- Philip J. Gannon Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients shall be enrolled in any program at LCC. Preference shall be given to students enrolled in vocational, technical or business programs of study. Recipients must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.75 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Price/Dahlke Endowed Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 9 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
- Reverend Climmie and Leatha Hughes Family Endowment
  In establishing the Reverend Climmie and Leatha Hughes Family Endowment both Toni and Michael honor the tremendous opportunities created by scholarships in elevating the education of students to obtain the skill and knowledge to pursue careers in service to their community. This endowment memorializes the impactful lives lived by Reverend Climmie Mack Hughes and Leatha Hughes, and it is the intent that this scholarship creates the opportunity for their tremendous work to be carried on through future generations. Both Climmie and Leatha came from humble beginnings and spent 44 years together pouring into others, many of whom are doing their workand greater. Reverend and Mrs. Hughes will forever be known for their love of the Bible, prayer, and Christian education. Scholarship recipients must be 1st generation college students, must be enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 6 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.

- Scholarship recipients may be enrolled in a program at LCC and have a 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA.
- Robert E. Schulze Creative Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Recipients must have been involved with a creative project at Lansing Community College or within the community.
- Savita, Jyotsna and Kapila Shah Endowed Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College, reside in the LCC district or service area and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Skorna Shooting Stars Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and be enrolled in a least 6 credits. Preference will be given to students who have a demonstrated history of volunteerism and community service. Financial need will be considered.
- Stanley S. Chase Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and maintain in-district residency. Recipients must be non-traditional students who are returning to higher education after a gap in their education. Preference will be given to students with families or who are the head of single-parent households. Financial need will be considered.
- Theresa and Frederick Junger Restricted Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a Lansing Community College program with a minimum enrollment of 6 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Applicants who were in the State of Michigan Foster Care System at the time of high school graduation will be given preference.
- Thomas A. Coens Quality Fund Scholarship
  The Thomas A. Coens Quality Fund provides scholarships for eligible applicants to attend classes, seminars, programs, conferences or to host guest speakers for the purpose of learning about or applying quality management or progressive management philosophies and practices. This fund was established to honor the memory of Thomas A. Coens who worked ceaselessly in the community and at Lansing Community College, to promote the quality management philosophy of Dr. W. - Ukrainian Home Society Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 12 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Recipients who are Ukrainian or Eastern European will be given preference.
- William and Sarah E. Hinman Fund Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a Lansing Community College program, reside within the LCC district, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.

- Dr. Gary P. Knippenberg Scholarship
  Recipients must be enrolled in a transfer or liberal arts program at Lansing Community College, pursuing their first degree, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
- Mieko Kimura Philips Endowed Scholarship
  Mieko Philips was born and raised in Japan. While in college, she came to the United States on a Rotary Exchange Program and studied at Michigan State University receiving a BA in psychology. She returned to Japan and completed her studies receiving a BA in English Literature with a minor in international relations. Mieko returned to Michigan State University to complete her MA and Ph.D. in linguistics.
  
  She has taught Japanese language and linguistics at Lansing Community College for over 30 years. While at LCC, she has been active in providing students opportunities to study abroad and have educational experiences in other cultures. Mieko believes that goodness in human beings is enhanced by studying the humanities fields and she hopes this scholarship will advance this belief.
  
  Recipients will be enrolled in Linguistics, Japanese Studies or other World Languages Studies, Humanities or, Music. They shall maintain enrollment of at least 6 credits per semester and a minimum GPA of 2.5. Recipients shall also have a demonstrated history of community service.
- Ngere Abdul Wali Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in the LCC African American History Program, be enrolled in LCC Sociology 185 or be a participant in the LCC HBCU Transfer Program. They must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need.
Business & Economics
- Allegra Print and Imaging of Okemos Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a business program at Lansing Community College and pursuing their first degree. Preference is given to minority applicants.
- American Institute of Banking, Lansing, MI Chapter Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a business or finance program at Lansing Community College, reside within the LCC district, and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits. Financial need will be considered.
- Capitol Bancorp Community Service Endowed Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a business program at Lansing Community College, have a history of volunteer community service, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.4 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- CEO Network Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a business program at Lansing Community College, pursuing their first degree, reside within the tri-county area, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
- Colby Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a transfer program in business or engineering at Lansing Community College, a graduate of Portland High School or Grand Ledge High School, and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.

  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a business program at Lansing Community College, have demonstrated a high academic achievement for at least 1 year, be enrolled in a minimum of 8 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.

  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a management, marketing, or business program at Lansing Community College, reside within the LCC district, be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.

- Joseph P. Sohn Hotel/Motel/Food Service Management Specialist Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a hospitality or business program at Lansing Community College, reside within the LCC district, be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Koks/Winegardner Endowed Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a business management program at Lansing Community College, be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
- LeRoy and Lois Henry Family Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a hospitality or business program at Lansing Community College, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Megumi Shigematsu Memorial Fund Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in International Studies, International Business or Japanese Studies at Lansing Community College and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Preference will be given to students studying aboard. Financial need will be considered.
- Phi Theta Kappa Honors Scholarship (Mu Tau Chapter)
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a Lansing Community College program with a minimum enrollment of 6 credits, members of Phi Theta Kappa, Mu Tau Chapter, and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA.
- Richard and Olivia Letts Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a business program at Lansing Community College, disadvantaged, be enrolled a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Robert J. Bouck Memorial Endowment Fund
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a business program at Lansing Community College, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0, and be enrolled in at least 6 credits. Financial need will be considered.
- William A. and Verna L. Zuhl Scholarship
  
  At a very young age, Thomas Zuhl was exposed to international students and faculty from various international locations. It is because of his parent's upbringing that he has a lifelong love of studying abroad and working with people from all over the world.
  
  In establishing the William A. and Verna L. Zuhl Endowment, Thomas and Patricia honor a Zuhl family legacy of interest in International Studies. Recipients shall be international students, or students enrolled ina study aboard progra, or studying in a field with an international focus. Recipients shall maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. Preference will be given to students studying abroad.

- Accounting Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must have completed ACCG 210 & ACCG 211 with a grade of 3.0 or higher, and be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits.
- Dr. Ronald K. Edwards Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in an accounting program at Lansing Community College, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
- Hulon T. Benson, Jr. Memorial Scholarship by Thomas and Jeffrey Benson
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in an accounting program at Lansing Community College, reside within the LCC district, be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to applicants of African-American origin.
Marketing & advertising
- Bernard F. Sr. & Dorothy L. Gaffney Endowed Memorial Scholarship Fund
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a marketing/sales or health careers program at Lansing Community College and reside within the LCC district.
- Daniel Hagfors Memorial Scholarship
  As a former instructor of Marketing 120 at Lansing Community College, one of Dan Hagfors’ great passions was giving back to the community through teaching and education. The start of each semester marked a new chapter of sharing his wealth of knowledge in the sales and marketing industry with a new class full of eager students. Dan’s goal was to bring real-world experiences to the classroom and encourage his students to dig deep to find that passion that would drive them toward success. Dan’s course was known to be hands-on, engaging, and full of enthusiasm.
  In addition to teaching at LCC, Dan was a 20-year veteran instructor for Dale Carnegie and a 40-year veteran in advertising sales. For more than a decade before his passing, Dan owned Hagfors Marketing Team, a marketing agency that strived to help small businesses achieve advertising success through traditional media.
  To honor Dan after his passing in 2023, his children began the Dan Hagfors Memorial Scholarship in hopes of offering educational assistance to students entering the sales, marketing, business, and entrepreneurship career fields.
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a marketing program at Lansing Community College, pursuing their first degree, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
Communication, Media & Arts
- Byrne, Machtel, Sargeant Endowed Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be majoring in a performing arts program at Lansing Community College and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
- Elizabeth L. Anderson Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in an arts, dance, music, or theater program at Lansing Community College, reside within the LCC district, and be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits. Financial need will be considered.
- Hal Gross Communications Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a communications program at Lansing Community College, be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.6 GPA.
- James P. Platte Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a performing arts, english, or communications program at Lansing Community College, have completed 24 completed credits, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
- Mark Gallup Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled a communication, media, or arts program at Lansing Community College, be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
- Michael Katalenich Memorial Scholarship
  Michael Katalenich grew up in Grand Ledge, Michigan, and graduated from Everett High School. He was involved with the deaf community in Lansing and had several deaf friends he met within that community. The Michael Katalenich Memorial Scholarship has been established to honor his memory and support students enrolled in the Sign Language Interpreter program at Lansing Community College. Scholarship recipients must be enrolled the SIGN Language Interpreter program at Lansing Community College, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
- Montel A. Smith Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must maintain a GPA of at least a 2.5, be a full time student (12 credits), a resident of the LCC district ("in-district), and major in either Communication or Marketing.
- Neil S. Nageotte Endowed Scholarship

  Lansing Community College Art Historian Sharon Park believes Art History is like a magical portal into other cultures and places. When growing up in a suburb of Detroit, she fell in love with art when her elementary school class took a trip to the Detroit Institute of Arts. Art became the magic wand that led her to two degrees in Art History and a fulfilling career as an Art Historian at Lansing Community College. Art History intersects with history, religion, politics, fashion, mythology, engineering, literature, and other aspects of life. Sharon hopes students will acquire a cultural understanding of the past and present and discover how they are part of the continuing story of human creativity through Art History or Humanities courses … and perhaps experience their own magical moment at the Detroit Institute of Arts, as well.

- Budzynski Pre-Architectural Scholarship
  Delphin "Bud" Budzynski and Margaret "Jo" Woodlock Budzynski first crossed paths in 1950 while pursuing their passion for art at the renowned Michigan State University Summer Art Camp in Leland, Michigan. Their bond blossomed, leading to their marriage a year later. Bud pursued a career in architecture with a Detroit firm, while Jo dedicated herself to teaching art in middle and high schools.
  
  In 1954, the couple settled in Haslett, Michigan, where they lovingly transformed their home according to Bud's architectural vision. There, they raised five children and created a haven filled with music, Jo's culinary delights, and cherished gatherings with neighbors and loved ones. Their shared love for exploration took them on many memorable travels to Paris, London, Switzerland, Austria, Jamaica, the Grand Caymans and Japan.
  Bud's architectural prowess left an indelible mark on the Lansing area, evident in iconic structures such as the University Club at MSU, MESSA Headquarters in East Lansing, the Accident Fund and Auto Owners Insurance buildings in the Lansing area, and his contributions to the design of Lansing Community College downtown, including the enduring Gannon Building and Dart Auditorium.
  
  Following Bud's passing in 1992, Jo and the Budzynski family established the Budzynski Pre-Architectural Scholarship as a tribute to his legacy. This scholarship serves to honor Bud's memory and passion for architecture while supporting aspiring architects in their educational pursuits.

  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a criminal justice or law enforcement program at Lansing Community College, be a high school graduate, reside within the LCC district or service area, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Scholarship recipients must be veterans or the dependent children of honorably discharged or deceased veterans of the United States. Vietnam era veterans or their legal dependents will be given preference. Financial need will be considered.
- Emly Horne Memorial Scholarship
  Emly Horne was a neighborhood leader in south Lansing who recruited participants, provided input at Summit meetings, and kept neighborhoods and community groups informed of the project's progress and outcomes. Emly served as the first President of the Old Everett Neighborhood Association (OENA). Her many accomplishments include securing grants for initial projects, including street sign toppers to mark the OENA boundaries, and a historical marker for the Old Everett High School, which identify and nurture pride in our area of the City. Emly has served on many City citizen advisory boards and commissions, including being a volunteer with the South Police Precinct & Neighborhood Network Center where she worked with Lansing school administrators and students to reduce traffic and truancy problems and to encourage greater neighborhood awareness and mutual support. Emly started a Neighborhood Watch organization in her own neighborhood, and served as liaison between many Neighborhood Watch organizations and the Lansing Police Department. She consistently turned out a large group of area residents to engage in bi-monthly problem-solving sessions with Police Officers. Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in the Mid-Michigan Police Academy at Lansing Community College, be residents of the LCC district, and maintain a 2.5 GPA. Financial need will be considered. Preference will be given to female and minority candidates.
- Firefighters Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in the Fire Science Program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 6 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Honorable Alton H. Noe Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a criminal justice or law enforcement program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 12 credits, reside within the LCC district and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Hundred Club Fire Science Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in the Fire Academy at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 12 credits, reside within Clinton, Eaton, or Ingham County, and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Hundred Club Police Academy Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in the Mid-Michigan Police Academy at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 12 credits, reside within Clinton, Eaton, or Ingham County and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- James Bonneau Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in the Mid-Michigan Police Academy at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 12 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Recipients from Canton MI or Jackson MI will be given preference.
- James R. DeLoach Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a criminal justice program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 12 credits, be a current year graduate from Holt High School and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Jan and Joe Foster Legal Assistant Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in the Paralegal Program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 12 credits, reside within the LCC district and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- John P. Dyer Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a fire science or emergency medical services program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 9 credits, reside within Michigan and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Ron and Donna Granger Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a criminal justice program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 12 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Tournament of Friendship Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a law enforcement or emergency medical services program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 12 credits, reside within Shiawassee, Livingston, Ingham, Clinton, or Eaton County and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Preference will be given to minority applicants.
- Warner Family Scholarship
  In establishing the Warner Family Scholarship, Jennifer Hatt honors the Warner family legacy and their commitment to public service. Jennifer's father and grandparents built prominent careers in public service as a corrections officer, police officer, and a valued staff member of the prosecuting attorney's office. Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in LCC's Criminal Justice program, Police Academy, or Corrections Officer Academy, maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, and demonstrate financial need. This scholarship will support tuition, fees, and educational expenses.
Transportation Maintenance Technologies
- Capitol City Old Car Club Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in an automotive technology program at Lansing Community College, enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, maintain in-district residency, and maintain a 2.0 minimum cumulative GPA.
- Chris D. Peoples Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in an automotive technology program at Lansing Community College with a 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA.
- David A. Lorenz Memorial Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a transportation program at Lansing Community College, pursing their first degree or a new occupation, with a minimum enrollment of 9 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Gerald and Dorothy Francis Aviation Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in the Aviation Maintenance Program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 6 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Ron Burke Help-A-Wrench Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in an automotive program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 6 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
- Steven P. Dionise Aviation Scholarship
  Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in the Aviation Maintenance Program at Lansing Community College with a minimum enrollment of 12 credits and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
