Lansing Community College

Umbrella Agreement Process:

In order for a secondary school district or career center to participate in CTE Credit-By-Exam, an Umbrella Agreement must be created. To initiate an agreement with LCC, please follow the steps below. You can also view the PDF Fileflow chart of this process.

  • Identify which LCC courses directly align with your course or program
    • Below you will find the list of LCC Courses that are eligible for CTE Credit-By-Exam
    • Each LCC Course Code is linked to the 2019-2020 course syllabus for that course
    • Review the Student Learning Outcomes on the syllabi to determine alignment
    • If you would like to get in contact with the LCC academic department directly for further alignment discussion, please see the CTE Credit-By-Exam contact information.
  • Once you have identified the courses that align with your high school program or courses, please email the K12 Operations office to initiate an PDF FileUmbrella Agreement
  • Once the Umbrella Agreement is created various signatures will need to be attainted.
  • Once the signatures are on the agreement, the agreement is good until June 1, 2022
  • Please see the Student Process to see how students can participate in CTE Credit-By-Exam

CTE Credit-By-Exam Secondary Partner Form:

In order for students to be eligible for CTE Credit-By-Exam, their high school or career center is responsible for submitting the CTE Credit-By-Exam Secondary Partner Form. This form should be submitted at the end of each course to the K12 Operations Office via email. Once that form is submitted, students are eligible to initiate their student application. Please see the Student Process.

2021 Annual CTE Pathway Meeting:

LCC hosts an annual Pathway Meeting for everyone in the partnering programs to meet and connect. This year the event was held virtually on April 26th. If you weren't able to attend, please watch the video below.
