Steps for Success
Apply to the College
Activate Your Student Account
Placement levels (and sometimes, prerequisite courses) are required in order to register for classes. There are a few ways you can establish levels:
If you are planning to earn a degree or certificate at LCC you should have your previous college send your official college credit to LCC. Once LCC receives this, we will assess it for any official transfer credit. This can take up to 4-6 weeks.
As a transfer/guest student, orientation is not required. You are welcome to attend a session if you would like!
Your next step is to see an Academic Advisor* to plan out your courses. Check out advising options (including appointments, drop ins, and online advising).
*If possible, bring a copy of your unofficial transcript to refer to when meeting with an advisor.
Register for Classes
After completing the steps above, you are ready to register for classes! If you need help, reach out to your Success Coach or visit the StarZone in the Gannon Building. You can also register on your own in Banner, just log into MyLCC.How to register for classes using Schedule Planner
