Lansing Community College

LCC employees operating college-owned vehicles are required to complete the Vehicle Use Agreement form.

Vehicle Use Agreement

Reserve a Passenger Vehicle

A college-owned vehicle can be requested for professional college-related business use and class outings. Using a college-owned vehicle is the preferred mode of transportation as it is a direct representation of the college. Operators of a college-owned vehicle are required to complete vehicle training. Vehicle requests are to be made two business days in advance for those who completed the training and one week in advance for those who need training. All requests are subject to availability. Passengers are to be 18 years of age or older. If you are planning a long trip, please refer to the LCC Board of Trustees Policy regarding travel. The current charge for using a college-owned vehicle is $3.00 per mile driven and is charged back to the division that used the vehicle.

Consider the following when planning your request: When travel is by taxi, bus, limousine, automobile, ship or rail, the expense may not exceed the cost of the lowest available airfare. Work hours lost from time enroot for the traveler to be away from his/her duties, as well as any additional travel-related expenses, should be measured against travel time and cost of using a commercial air carrier.

Reserve a Charter Bus

Approved third-party charter buses can be requested for program outings, athletic events, administration functions or any other professional college-related business. A charter is recommended when the number of passengers exceeds 12 people. Prices vary depending on needs, and the cost will be charged back to the division that used the charter. Last-minute cancellations may result in a fee. One day before the event, the driver information will be given to the requestor; at that time, cancellations or changes are the responsibility of the requestor.

A request should be submitted three weeks in advance to obtain the best rates and to ensure availability.
