Three steps to your success! Our training schedule is 5.5 hours a day, five days a week. You’ll be learning every day! Training takes place in classrooms, labs, and in real-world settings, at our new Aviation Technology Center located just south of Lansing in Mason, MI.
Steps to Your Success
You can do more! Upon completion of training, you will have earned three certificates: Airframe Maintenance,
Powerplant Maintenance and Basic Aviation Technologies. Add just five courses during
or after training, and you can also earn two associate degrees in the field.

Airframe Maintenance Technology, AAS
Overview
An Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) holds an Airframe (fuselage) and/or Powerplant (engine) certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Aircraft and avionics equipment mechanics and technicians repair and perform scheduled maintenance on aircraft. They may also perform aircraft inspections as required by the FAA. An AMT also performs, supervises and conducts preventive maintenance.
Admissions Requirements
Department approval is required.
