Overview
Computer science is an engineering discipline that prepares students to design, create, test, and evaluate applications software such as computer games, business applications, operating systems, network control systems, artificial intelligence, or robotics. It also prepares students to coordinate the construction, maintenance, and expansion of computer systems in an organization.

Going Places
LCC's Computer Science program prepares students for an Associate's degree and to meet the first two years' requirements towards a Bachelors degree. Our courses transfer to many Computer Science and Computer Engineering programs in Michigan. Science and Mathematics, GA
Overview
This degree is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in mathematics, engineering, or a broad range of scientific fields. This Career Community includes the following pathways: Biology, Biotechnology, Chemical Technology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering-Physics, Environmental Technology, Geography, and Mathematics. The degree includes a common set of courses applicable to the Science and Mathematics majors listed above and to many transfer institutions. Students beginning college in this degree program are encouraged to work with academic and program advisors throughout their first few semesters of study to determine their specific major area and, if transfer is a goal, the specific requirements of the transfer institution.
