Lansing Community College

LCC's Ultrasound: Diganostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program is selective admission. In order to be considered as a candidate, students must meet admission requirements beyond those required for general admission to the college. There is no wait-list to enter the program; instead, acceptance is based on a point system. Check out the DMS Advising Guide for the application process and admission requirements.

Train to use equipment at the forefront of medical technology and earn an associate degree in a growing industry that offers an average yearly salary of $68,970! As a student in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, you’ll learn to operate sophisticated equipment that produces images of the human body to assist physicians in medical diagnoses. Your cohort will begin in the summer and will study both in the classroom and at hospitals and clinics that offer hands-on experience in this exciting field.

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ultrasound) program is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of The Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS).
