If you do, why not channel those interests and abilities into a career. Take a close look at the Building Construction Program at Lansing Community College. You will gain hands on experiences in the essentials you will need to progress in the field. You will learn the skills needed to construct single family, multi family, and commercial buildings. As a program completer, you would start as a framing crew member, work up to being a crew leader, and then could become a project manager or superintendent. From there you could move into owning your own business, or get involved in the supply side of the construction industry.

LCC's Building Construction Program is highly respected and will provide you with the necessary skills employers want in their employees. You will learn construction techniques, framing with wood and steel, estimating both materials and costs, and building codes. You will receive the knowledge, skills, and abilities to help you succeed.

Our faculty members are dedicated professionals who will help you to attain academic and professional success. Instruction is based on established practices and hands on experiences. You can also take the Builders License Review course to help you take the state exam. Our instructors also have the real world experiences that will add relevance to your learning. Courses are offered throughout the year, including nights and weekends to accommodate your needs.
