Phlebotomy Technician
This program consists of two courses for a total of six credits taken in two semesters, with the second course being an Externship. These courses are designed to prepare you to function as a phlebotomy technician.
You will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and skillfully ensure patient identification, obtain a blood sample from a patient, and properly handle specimens after collection. The course includes classroom lectures, a campus lab and a second-semester externship.
Successful completion of the program qualifies the student to take the ASCP National Certification Exam.
