LCC Music will welcome composer Jared Miller for an open-to-all session about his work as a contemporary composer, his process, and an interactive demonstration. Miller is an award-winning composer serving as Lansing Symphony Orchestra’s composer-in-residence from 2023-2026. He is described as a rising star and is an advocate for musical education and outreach.

The visit will be held 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in Gannon Building 1403. Learn more about Miller.

Here are two other great opportunities to enjoy our Music Program in the coming weeks:

• The LCC Rock Band will perform 1-2 p.m. Friday, March 29, in the Gannon Commons. This is free and open to all!
• Central Michigan University Voice Faculty Tracy Watson will conduct a master class with the Music Program from 1-2 p.m. Monday, April 1, in Gannon Building 1403. The active participants will be taken from among the Music Program’s vocalists, but anyone is welcome to attend.
