Charge to the Committee

• Provide a platform for adjunct faculty members to communicate their perspectives, concerns, and suggestions regarding institutional policies, practices, and initiatives.
• Address academic issues pertinent to adjunct faculty members and advocate for their interests.
• Promote professional development opportunities, resources, and support services tailored to the needs of adjunct faculty members.
• Enhance the integration of adjunct faculty members into the LCC academic community and facilitate their engagement in campus activities and governance structures.
• Regularly report to the Academic Senate on progress, retain committee approved meeting minutes, and maintain a representative membership.

Membership

• Chair (Must be an Academic Senator who is also a member of the faculty)
• Vice Chair (Must be a member of the committee)
• At least 2 Academic Senators
• At least 1 Adjunct teaching face-to-face
• At least 1 Adjunct teaching online
• At least 1 part-time Academic Professional
• At least 1 adjunct from each of the following Divisions:
  • Arts & Sciences
  • Community Education and Workforce Development
  • Health and Human Services
  • Technical Careers
  • Student Affairs
• Ex-Officio members
  • Academic Senate President per Senate bylaws
• Resource Members
  • Representative from Center for Teaching Excellence
  • Representative from MAHE
