LCC Trustee named chair of Michigan Community College Association
LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan Community College Association (MCCA) today announced its 2023/2024 Executive Committee, including Lansing Community College Trustee Robert Proctor as chair.
Proctor is the treasurer of the Lansing Community College Board of Trustees and an attorney, arbitrator and mediator. He is a retired administrative law judge for the Michigan Department of Civil Service and served as legal counsel for the Labor Committee in the Michigan House of Representatives.
The MCCA Executive Committee provides planning and strategic direction for the MCCA, representing and acting for the board between meetings. Its responsibilities include recommending an annual budget to be approved by the Board of Directors, auditing of all MCCA finances at the end of each fiscal year, planning the events and activities of the MCCA, and supervising and evaluating the President.
“Michigan community colleges are always working to create opportunities and remove barriers to ensure that Michiganders can realize their full potential,” said MCCA Chair Robert Proctor. “It is an honor to lead the MCCA executive committee and collaborate together to keep strengthening our community and tribal campuses.”

- Immediate Past Chair: Dr. Beverly Walker-Griffea, President, Mott Community College

The 2023/2024 Executive Committee began their term on July 1, 2023.
