LANSING, Mich. – As part of LCC’s Black History Month celebration the college’s Martin Luther King Jr. Equity Center and the LCC Transfer Team will host the HBCU Experience 2025 from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 on the Downtown Campus.

The event will highlight transfer and educational opportunities available at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) focus on alumni experiences, explore the many benefits of choosing an HBCU, and answer any questions attendees might have.

“The HBCU Experience 2025 is a chance for LCC students, the Greater Lansing community, including high school-aged students to come and explore the option of attending a Historically Black College or University,” said LCC Transfer Director Patricia Spagnuolo. “Our panel features a representative from Central State University, an HBCU in Wilberforce, Ohio, and HBCU graduates who want to share their experiences. This event is designed to broaden the understanding of what life is like at an HBCU and to let LCC students, potential students, and the community know that Lansing Community College is here to help.”
