LCC is partnering with ReUp to recruit stop-out students

Program aims to help adult learners achieve their educational dreams

LANSING, Mich. - Over 40 million American adults have some college, but no credential. Every adult learner deserves a chance to fulfill their educational dreams. Many have the drive to re-enroll but need support as they navigate their return to higher education. To better champion this population of students, Lansing Community College is partnering with ReUp Education.

ReUp is a national organization that works with more than 100 colleges and universities to support adults who started college, stopped, and now face layers of hurdles to continuing.

“It's an excellent moment for learners to return to LCC,” said Monét Lewis Associate Dean of Academic and Career Pathways. “Students now have unparalleled access to resources thanks to ReUp, MI Reconnect, the 21-25 Age Expansion, and the Community College Guarantee, which combine customized coaching and financial support. Together, these programs help students overcome obstacles, attain academic goals, and create a brighter future.”

As part of the partnership, ReUp will serve as an expert on adult learners for LCC, offering institution-specific insights and strategic recommendations based on industry trends, millions of data points on adult learners, and direct learner feedback.
