Support Students in the Next Economy

Ask any employer. One of the biggest threats to the strength of our region’s economy is a lack of workers with the skills employers require. The changing economy has created new jobs requiring highly-skilled workers, including those within the new manufacturing sector.

Future students – future skilled employees – need your help. Many under-skilled workers want to learn, but face economic barriers to education. Lansing Community College students typically work at least part time, have families to support, and struggle financially. Your scholarship gift would allow them to pursue the training and education that helps them be the desperately needed employees of tomorrow.

The LCC Foundation created the Next Generation Careers Scholarship so that every member of the community might have the chance to receive the education and training they need for careers in the rapidly changing job market. Gifts to the scholarship are not only an investment in an individual’s skills and training, they are a valuable investment in Mid-Michigan’s economic future.
