Daniel Hagfors Memorial Scholarship

As a former instructor of Marketing 120 at Lansing Community College, one of Dan Hagfors’ great passions was giving back to the community through teaching and education. The start of each semester marked a new chapter of sharing his wealth of knowledge in the sales and marketing industry with a new class full of eager students. Dan’s goal was to bring real-world experiences to the classroom and encourage his students to dig deep to find that passion that would drive them toward success. Dan’s course was known to be hands-on, engaging, and full of enthusiasm.

In addition to teaching at LCC, Dan was a 20-year veteran instructor for Dale Carnegie and a 40-year veteran in advertising sales. For more than a decade before his passing, Dan owned Hagfors Marketing Team, a marketing agency that strived to help small businesses achieve advertising success through traditional media.

To honor Dan after his passing in 2023, his children began the Dan Hagfors Memorial Scholarship in hopes of offering educational assistance to students entering the sales, marketing, business, and entrepreneurship career fields.
