Dr. Eva L. Evans Education Scholarship

Eva Evans was a dedicated public servant and a leader in education. She served in several administrative positions in the Lansing School District, including as the first female deputy superintendent of Lansing public schools. Dr. Evans served as chairwoman of the Michigan Civil Rights Department and the Lansing Community College Foundation Board of Directors. She was the international president of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority from 1994 to 1998. Her passion was to promote students and their education.
