Brenda Young Scholarship

Brenda Young is retiring after more than 35 years at LCC!

Brenda Young, a staple of the LCC Information Technology Division, retired on June 30^th. As a student employee, she joined LCC in January 1987 as a Lab aid for the Business Division Computer Lab in the Accounting and Computer Academic program area in Old Central. Brenda continued to work for the next 10 years in the academic area, including teaching computer classes and seminars, culminating in the promotion to lab supervisor. She transferred to central administration computing where she spent the next 25 years in computer support positions, eventually becoming the Director of Technology Support Services.

Brenda has set up a scholarship, called the Brenda Young Scholarship for your donations.  This scholarship provides financial assistance for Lansing Community College minority students who are pursuing degrees and certificates in any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) program.
