Conference Services at Lansing Community College is excited for your upcoming event at our downtown campus! In order to ensure a successful meeting we wanted to provide some useful information to make sure you "know before you go!"
Arrival
Doors unlocked and event set up will be completed no less than (1) hour prior to your event start time on the details spreadsheet. Audio Visual will check in 30 minutes prior to your start time. There will also be a tent card at registration with contact numbers should you need assistance during your event.
Food and Beverage
All food and beverage must be ordered from Conference Services. Leftover catering can be taken by the internal group, however, you must provide your own to go containers and cannot use the catering company's containers.
Decor
Basic linen is included and will be listed on your event details. All décor must be discussed and approved with Conference Services. Glitter, confetti and open flames are strictly prohibited. Nothing can be taped, affix, or pinned to the walls. If your event brings glitter, a cleaning fee of $250 will be charged.
Marketing/Signage
Marketing is required to design all materials to promote the event and also the materials at the event including programs.
Work Orders
Conference Services is responsible for all 5 Star work requests except for marketing, public relations and print services. Any changes must be submitted to Conference Services within 48 hours of the event. Changes are requests and not gaurenteed.
Hosting
An LCC representative from the department hosting the event is required to be at the event at all times.
Parking
The new Gannon ramp has plenty of parking any day of the week for events. For events in the Gannon Conference Center, attendees can park on the first floor of the Gannon Ramp. For events with community members attending, directional signage will direct attendees from the ramp to the Gannon Conference Center. Conference Services will also make sure the Gannon Building's 1st floor doors to the building from the parking ramp are unlocked 1 hour before the event and locked 30 minutes after the event. Be sure to tell Conference Services if you have anyone attending your event that doesn't have a star card.
Departure
Prior to departure, please check that you take all your items/materials you brought in.
