This major is designed for students wishing to work in the field of Accounting on completion of the Associate of Business degree. Graduates of this degree/major are qualified to work as a paraprofessional in most areas of accounting, such as financial reporting, cost accounting, governmental accounting, and tax preparation. Typically, paraprofessionals work under the supervision of a professional accountant, but may be doing essentially the same type of work. Job titles include bookkeeper, accounting clerk, and tax preparer, among others.

Accounting CPA Exam Preparation, AB
Overview
This degree focuses on helping students with a Bachelor Degree, outside the field of accounting, learn the material to pass the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination, and provides them with the classes needed to start a career as a professional accountant. The program prepares students for success in all realms of accounting, including careers as an auditor, tax professional, cost accountant, governmental accountant, financial analyst, and many more.

Overview
A program in teach-out means that students with that declared major who are currently completing the program requirements will be allowed a specified amount of time to complete these requirements, and other students will not be able to declare/receive this certificate.
Business, GA
Overview
This degree is designed for students wishing to work in any Business-related field. The degree includes a common set of courses applicable to all Business majors and for all transfer institutions. Students beginning their college study in this degree program are encouraged to work with academic and program advisors throughout their first few semesters of study to determine their specific major area and transfer destination (if transfer is a goal). Students may select the Business Transfer Studies degree geared to any transfer major, including Economics, or a specific Associate in Business major (Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Institutions, Human Resource Management, Insurance and Risk Management, International Business, Management, Marketing), which prepares students to work in the field on completion of the Associate degree and may also allow transfer to specific institutions.
