Implicit Bias

Join Dr. Heather Bunce, Ed.D., RDH, for a training presentation on Implicit Bias.

Course Description

In this course, you will learn about implicit bias and how it affects health equity in the healthcare field. The course will examine research on differences in healthcare outcomes based purely on biological differences between people of different genders or races and how more evidence points to the vast majority of healthcare gaps stemming from individual and systemic biases. You will explore strategies to remedy the negative impact of implicit bias and how to reduce barriers to care. By the end of this course, you will be able to identify areas that require change on individual and institutional levels to see healthcare equity occur.

There is a strict limit of 24 seats available. Sign-up closes on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

This presentation is eligible for Continuing Education Credits. A certificate of completion will be presented at the end of the program.
