H.O.P.E. Scholarship

The H.O.P.E. Scholarship Program offers Lansing School District youth an opportunity for a college education and a brighter future. Students were initiated into the program as sixth graders and they promised to finish high school within the Lansing School District; in exchange, they receive up to 65 credits within a four-year time frame at Lansing Community College.

Lansing Promise Scholarship

The Lansing Promise is a scholarship program offering tuition assistance for post-secondary (college or skilled trade) education to all eligible high school graduates within the Lansing School District boundaries. The Lansing Promise provides tuition assistance for up to 65 credits within a 4-year time frame at Lansing Community College (or the equivalent dollar amount toward tuition and fees at Michigan State University, The University of Olivet, or Davenport University).

In 2018, the Lansing Promise and H.O.P.E. Scholarships merged into one scholarship for the high school graduating class of 2024. Together, these programs offer Lansing School District youth an opportunity for a college education and a brighter future. Students now participate in the Promise Pledge Ceremony as 6th graders and they promise to reside and finish high school within the Lansing School District boundaries; in exchange, they receive up to 65 credits within a four-year time frame at Lansing Community College (or the equivalent dollar amount toward tuition and fees at Michigan State University or The University of Olivet).

Mason Promise Scholarship

The Mason Promise Scholarship is a community organization of volunteers that guarantees funding for two years of Lansing Community College education to selected Mason Public School students. These selected students are chosen by the Mason Public Schools at the end of the fifth grade and then become a Mason Promise Scholar through an induction ceremony. Over the course of the next six years, these students receive mentoring and support as well as introduction to career possibilities through the Pathway Program.
