Lansing Community College Library

 Library Program Fund

Serving more than 1/2 million students, faculty, and staff in person and online each year, the Library is an integral part of teaching and learning at LCC. Gifts to the Library program fund support student learning through enhanced Library services and innovation, such as funding student focused events, and programs, and providing students with supplies to support their academic success.

Employees can donate to the Library program fund by filling out a payroll deduction form.

Student Scholarships

Give to the Kimberly Farley Memorial Scholarship in memory of Kimberly Farley, an employee of Lansing Community College for over 40 years. During her career she touched the lives of thousands of LCC students. She desired that donations in her memory be used to assist LCC students with financial need.

In her role as Library Instruction Coordinator, Kim worked closely with faculty from across campus. Kim also spent time in the LCC Advising Center as an academic advisor. Kim graduated from LCC with an Associate’s Degree in Library and Media Technology. She subsequently received her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Michigan State University and her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University. Kim made many friendships at LCC and will be sorely missed by her library and college colleagues.

Book Donations

Due to space limitations, the Library does not accept gifts in the form of book or media donations. Please contact your local public library to donate these items or learn about more book donation options. If you have a book you wrote that you would like us to add to the collection, submit the Suggest Materials for Purchase form.

I wasn't able to afford books until halfway through the semester. Without textbooks on reserve, I'd have failed my classes before even having a chance to participate. Because of this service, I currently have a 3.8!
