The Ingham County Sheriff's Office lost an incredible family member yesterday. Lt. Ted Harrison, badge 5368, died early Wednesday morning surrounded by his family after battling cancer. Lt. Harrison, originally from Holt, attended Ferris State University before starting his career on May 13, 2001 as a Deputy at the Ingham County Sheriff's Office. He served in Corrections, County Patrol, Delhi Township, and the Traffic Team as an accident re-constructionist before being promoted to Detective in 2012. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2013 where he served Delhi Charter Township/Holt, County Patrol, and as the Traffic Sergeant. He was promoted to Lieutenant on May 22, 2021 where he led County Patrol.

Lt. Harrison was extremely dedicated to the Ingham County Sheriff's Office, his work family, and the residents of our County. He had a huge heart and was loved by everyone that met him. He brought fun and laughter to the office on a daily basis. He loved his hunting trips and managed to go to one more deer camp with some of his ICSO brothers last fall. His love for his wife and two daughters was perhaps the greatest impression he left on all of us.

We ask for your continued thoughts and prayers, especially, for the family of Lt. Ted Harrison
