“Wednesday” is a brand new show on Netflix that was released Nov. 23 and is still in the No. 1 spot on the Netflix, “Top 10” list.
The show has a star-studded cast and was directed by the famous Tim Burton.
“Wednesday” follows the life of the Addams Family’s youngest daughter, Wednesday, as she attends a new boarding school for unique adolescents.
Jenna Ortega, an up-and-coming actress, stars in the Wednesday role. Her parents, Morticia and Gomez, are played by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman, respectively.
Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday Addams in previous movies, is a recurring guest star on the show. Ricci plays one of Wednesday’s teachers, a “normie” (human) who proves to be a kind ally to Wednesday.
In the show, there is a monster on the loose killing people. Wednesday makes it her responsibility to discover who is behind all of the murders. With the help of her friends and a cute “normie” boy from town, she is determined to uncover the truth.
I absolutely loved this show and consumed the entire eight-episode dramedy within a weekend. Jenna Ortega did an amazing job in her role as Wednesday. She was weird, kind of evil, and wickedly smart.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves fantasy or dark shows.
