Volleyballers earn sweep at Kellogg

The LCC volleyball team earned a three-set victory at the road at Kellogg Community
College on Thursday, Oct. 3.
With the league win, the Stars improved their MCCAA Western Conference record to 6-0. LCC improved to 14-6 overall.
LCC won the sets by scores of 25-21, 25-15 and 25-19.
Freshman Christina Williams led the Stars with 11 kills. Sophomore teammate Anna Hoch added 10 kills. Sophomore setter Karsyn Near led LCC with 35 assists.
Freshman Jasmine Reemsnyder and sophomore Katelynn Davis led LCC on defense with 12 digs apiece. Williams added 11 digs.
The Stars have two non-league road matches in Grand Rapids this weekend, then return home on Tuesday, Oct. 8 for a conference battle with Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Action begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Gannon Gym and the public is welcome.
