The LCC volleyball team keeps on rolling following an impressive three-game victory against Marian University Ancilla on Thursday, Sept. 26 at home.

With the win, the Stars improved their overall record to 12-4. Their MCCAA Western Conference record remains perfect at 4-0.

“I think they are starting to connect, moving well together as a unit,” LCC Head Coach Emily Quintero said of her players. “Our first line of defense, so our blocking, has really started to come to play.”

LCC won each of the sets against the Knights (25-15, 25-19 and 25-15). Stat leaders in the match for the Stars were Christina Williams with 13 kills, Karsyn Near with 36 assists, Jasmine Reemsnyder with nine digs and Katie Comstock with four blocks.

“We have made sure to push our tempo as best we can and make sure we try different things in order to be successful,” Reemsnyder said.

Looking ahead, LCC has a pair of away matches, on Tuesday, Oct. 1 and Thursday, Oct. 3, against Lake Michigan College and Kellogg Community College, respectively.
