After over a decade absence, an NCAA Football video game has finally been released. Back in July of this year, EA Sports released College Football 25, marking a highly anticipated return.
An NCAA rule preventing its athletes from being able to profit from name, image and likeness caused the video-game franchise to take a hiatus.
In 2021, the NCAA approved a new policy that allows athletes to profit from their name, image and likeness, setting up the NCAA football video game’s return.
The video game itself plays very smoothly, and gameplay separates itself from EA’s other football franchise: Madden. EA Sports College Football 25 gameplay replicates the fast pace and high-scoring affairs the real-life product provides.
Road To Glory Mode: The player-career mode returns and is better than ever before with a new progression feature. This allows players to improve separate attributes and unlock new abilities/skills.
Another cool feature of Road to Glory is that once your college career is over, you have the option to export your player to MADDEN 25, with all of your accolades and history transferring over.
Dynasty Mode: The most popular and my personal favorite game mode in EA Sports College Football 25 is Dynasty Mode. This mode allows you to take over an NCAA Football Team of your choice, either as a head coach or coordinator.
You have the ability to recruit players, make a custom schedule and play the games. There are different pathways you can take in this game mode, whether you want to build a less successful/small program up or take over a previously established top program.
Other Game Modes: Other game modes in EA Sports College Football 25 include Play Now, Road to the College Football Playoff and Ultimate Team. Play Now is fun to just go up against your friends. I have not yet played the last couple of game modes so far.
I give EA Sports College Football 25 a perfect score. If you are into sports video games, I recommend giving this game a try.
