Sidecar Slider Bar is a unique little restaurant in Lansing near the Lansing Lugnuts’ stadium, Jackson Field. The restaurant is located at 500 E. Michigan Ave. and is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day of the week.
Sidecar Slider Bar is known for its inclusive, fun environment, great drinks and unique food.
Although I cannot drink yet, my boyfriend tried out a few of their drinks, including their rendition of a Moscow mule. He said all of the drinks he tried were extremely yummy and very alcoholic.
The drinks weren’t crazy expensive, but they weren’t cheap either. They ranged from $10 to $15 a drink.
My boyfriend and I decided we wanted to try out a few of the many different $5 sliders. Each slider is about half of a burger, so two for $10 is essentially getting a full entree. We also purchased some appetizers to go with our sliders.
We got the duck strips and the pierogis, which were both delicious in their own right. The duck strips had been dipped in teriyaki sauce and came served with spicy coleslaw.
I highly recommend dipping the duck strips in the coleslaw. The pierogis came with cheese and bacon, with spicy sauce topped on them.
For sliders, we tried the PB Jammin’ burger (burger with PB & J) and the Dirty Bird (chicken with a special sauce).
I cannot stress enough how everyone needs to go out and try a PB & J burger! It was so, so good and although it seemed like it would be weird, the flavors actually complimented each other very well. The Dirty Bird was also extremely good and well worth only $5.
I would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant. For more information, visit the website or call (517) 580-8776.
