Gravity Smokehouse Brew & Que (often called just “Gravity” or “Grav”) is a delicious BBQ joint that is located on the border of Lansing and Holt at 2440 Cedar St. in Holt.

Gravity is open every day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with happy hours from 2 to 6 p.m.

My boyfriend learned about Gravity from a Holt native who he used to work with about two years ago. Ever since, it has been one of our favorite to-go places.

When we first started going, Gravity was a small drive-thru place that you had to be sure to go to before 6 p.m. because by 6 it would be all out of pulled pork.

Now, Gravity has upgraded and expanded into a much bigger building. It even has super nice heated outside seating and an expansive inside with pool tables and all the goods. The staff is super friendly from the second you walk in, and the food is just as delicious as ever.

Kobe and I got two macs topped with pulled pork with two sides of corn bread, and BBQ nachos with extra jalapenos. Although the corn bread was extremely dry, everything else was absolutely yummy.

Kobe and I love to throw in Gravity sauce, spicy BBQ, and regular BBQ on top of macs, and I personally love to crumble some corn bread into it too.

I will say that I will dock a point because of how dry the cornbread was. However I have gone to Gravity many, many times when the cornbread has been fluffy and so good. Maybe this time we just got the last batch.

This really is a place that you have got to try if you haven’t already.
