Review: Savvy Sliders of Okemos

Savvy Sliders is a little-known fast food restaurant located at 3464 Okemos Road in Okemos. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to midnight, and even stays open as late as 2 a.m. on Saturdays.

On Sundays, the restaurant is a bit more conservative with its hours and is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

As well as serving delicious burger and chicken sliders, Savvy Sliders has breakfast all day, every day. Although I didn’t try it, my boyfriend has said the restaurant’s breakfast tater tots are super yummy.

For $40, my boyfriend and I got a big meal that included two burger sliders with a combo (drink and fries included), two chicken sliders, and an order of chicken fingers with a side of large seasoned fries.

I also got one of the restaurant’s famous specialty shakes: banana pudding. To top off our meal, I made sure to try out almost all of the sauce options.

Our meal was extremely filling and super delicious. In fact, I would go as far as to say Savvy Sliders rivaled SideCar Slider Bar (of downtown Lansing) in both price and taste. However, unlike the fun slider combinations available at SideCar, Savvy Sliders only serves a few slider options.

The chicken fingers were moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside and were seasoned very well. Out of everything I tried, I highly recommend one of the restaurant’s many chicken options.

Definitely give this place a try the next time you are in the Okemos area.
