LCC will be showcasing the work of its graduating photography program students’ this month at the MICA Gallery. The gallery is located at 1210 Turner St. in Lansing’s Old Town.
There will be a reception held Saturday, May 14 from 1 to 5 p.m. for students to engage with visitors and share their completed portfolios.
Faculty chair of the photography program, Professor Ike Lea, said he is excited to see this class’s work on display.
“This showing displays the wide range of talent present in the 2022 graduating class,” Lea said. “Each has their own specialty and unique approach to photography, from portraits to sports, still life to nature and wildlife, architecture, fine art and film photography.”
The exhibition will include 17 original pieces from the emerging photographers from LCC’s program. There will be a wide variety of art, ranging from portraits and still-life pieces, to nature and architecture.
Each student has been asked to share two of their favorite pieces from their portfolio.
