“The Saw” franchise has returned once again for a final, thrilling movie. “Saw X”
is a sort of prequel to the story we already know and love.
Rated R, with a run time just shy of two hours, it can be streamed on Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video or YouTube.
It follows the famous Jigsaw killer John Kramer (played by Tobin Bell) as he travels to Mexico, seeking a miracle cure for his terminal cancer diagnosis.
“Star X” also stars Shawnee Smith as Amanda Young, Jigsaw’s apprentice.
The movie is quick to take a dark turn, giving “Saw” fans eight brand new, gruesome traps that truly make this film live up to the previous films, and traps that came before it.
Throwing out Easter eggs from previous installments, it makes for an excellent watch for previous diehard “Saw” fans. However, it doesn’t require any previous knowledge of the other films to make it an amazing watch.
Overall, this movie was a thrilling and a well-deserved final chapter to the “Saw” series, earning a five-star rating.
