The LCC Stars Men’s Basketball team suffered a 78-74 loss against Mott Community College on Monday, Nov. 14.
“Monday I thought we played 36, 37 minutes of good basketball,” LCC Head Coach Mike Ingram said. “But those three or four minutes that we didn’t play good hurt us.”
This loss put the Stars’ overall record at 1-3.
“I thought it was a good game,” Ingram said. “I think that we’re getting better every game.”
Ingram said with the LCC Gannon Gym shut down for renovations, it has hurt the team.
“I’m playing some young players that haven’t been used to making a play when it counts yet,” Ingram said. “But those are things we’re working on.”
Sophomore Connor Bush led the Stars with 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds against Mott. Freshman Nate Lott II had five assists for LCC.
“I think I’ve tried to up my intensity a little bit more with the guys in the last couple days,” Ingram said. “We just got to make some plays.”
The Stars are scheduled to play at Mid Michigan College on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
