Summer is coming to an end but there are still a few warm weekends heading your way! Make the most of them by checking out what’s going on near you.

Friday Night Karaoke will be held in the Double Clutch Lounge of High Caliber Karting and Entertainment, located at 1982 W. Grand River Ave., suite 800 in Okemos, on Friday, Aug. 11.

This is a recurring, weekly event that will go from 7 to 11 p.m. There is no cover charge or drink minimum, meaning this is a chance to have your voice heard by all, free of cost.

There is a full bar for those 21 and older, but families are always welcome to be a part of the crowd. Click here for all the information needed to spotlight your talent.

Oldies with the Sea Cruisers is an event happening on the Michigan Princess riverboat this Saturday, Aug. 12 from 6 to 10 p.m.

The theme is designed around music from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s, giving everyone a little something to love. Michigan Princess employee Mikayla Knuckey said the fun doesn’t stop there.

“There is a dinner served,” Knuckey said. “You can grab a drink from the full bar and dance all night. You can watch the sun set from one of our outside decks.

“We have done this before; everyone has a great time on the boat and are able to take amazing pictures of the sunset.”

The dinner mentioned will include ribs, mashed potatoes, an assortment of vegetables, a vegetarian lasagna for those who don’t love meat, a salad and a beverage of choice.

The tickets are $79 and they are going fast, so, click here to secure yours now.

Patio Day Party is happening at Tatse & Alobosa Lounge, a restaurant located at 221 S. Washington Square, on Sunday, Aug. 13.

The event is scheduled to last from 5 to 10 p.m. and promises a chef who will prepare over 25 menu items. There is no cover charge, but there will be bottomless mimosas and other drinks sold.

Management did say the venue is unique in that it is a restaurant by day and a club by night. So there will be both the patio area to enjoy outside and a club atmosphere to vibe to inside.

Come, grab a bite and bust a move in some place new. Click here for more information.
