Summer is almost over, so don’t waste the few precious moments we have left. Keep yourself busy and check out some of the things below!

The Back of The Class Stober’s Patio Show is scheduled for this Saturday, Aug. 3, from 7 to 11 p.m. at Stober’s Bar, located at 812 E. Michigan Ave. in Lansing.

Patrick Moriarty, main bartender at Stober’s Bar and son of the former owner of Moriarty’s Pub, said this started as a popular event but has turned into more of a permanent trend.

Moriarty also confirmed local legend, DJ IDGAF, will be performing at the 21-and-over event. He shared DJ IDGAF is not only a great performer, but also a pub friend, classifying his genre as “old school Hip Hop.”

“We will be doing weekend shows every Saturday for the rest of the month,” Moriarty said. “He’s a great artist; he does a lot of different things downtown. He has played here about five times.”

The Garden Bros. Circus will be at the Lansing Mall, located at 5330 W. Saginaw Hwy., this Thursday, Aug. 1, through Sunday, Aug. 4. Times of shows vary. According to the website, this circus has been around for over a hundred years and is now the largest circus on earth.

See the world’s smallest person, standing at a mere 23 inches, or a real-live human cannonball! There will also be a ton of fair food, a big top arena, face painting, bouncy houses, pony rides and a seven-man team performing the “globe of death” stunt.

The first 100 adult tickets sold online are priced at $14.50, so click here and secure yours now while you still can!

Magical Forest Mimosa Sunday is happening this Sunday, Aug. 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wine and Canvas, located at 580 Frandor Ave. on Lansing’s east side. This is an age 14-and-up event that will be hosted in a studio setting with the intention of allowing visitors to explore their own creativity.

Outside beverages are not allowed in, but $10 mimosas sold with $5 refills will be available, along with wine, beer and cocktails. The tickets are $38 each. Click here for details. The cost includes paint, a decent take-home canvas, an apron and instruction by a professional, local artist.

Lansing always has a LOT to offer. Don’t be too busy to come out and notice!
