July is almost over but there is one weekend left and Lansing has put together a few things that are sure to make it a good one.
The Stick Arounds will play at Horrocks Farm Market this Friday, July 28 from 5 to 9 p.m., in the beer garden.
It is a free event that promises good food, a beautiful atmosphere and a few great jams for all who would like to end the week with a little music.

The Best of Lansing Festival is happening this Saturday, July 29 from 6 to 11 p.m. at Jackson Field, home of the Lansing Lugnuts. The entire community is invited to see the very best Lansing has to offer.
The entire outfield will be transformed into an obstacle course with over 100 different vendors. There is talk of inflatables, live music and a food-tasting competition among a multitude of Lansing’s best restaurants.
Bailey Shipe, sales intern for the Lansing Lugnuts, answered a few questions about the upcoming festival.
“It’s a free event but if you want to taste food, tickets are $25 (bought) in advance for 10 tastings and $35 at the door,” Shipe said.
“We expect to see anyone in the area who is looking to dip their toes in the culture.”
This is the first festival of its kind. Click here for all the details needed to help make history.
A Community Drum Circle will be gathering with the weather’s permission at Lake Lansing Park North this Sunday, July 30, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Bring whatever percussion instrument you have and prepare yourself for “a fun and energetic afternoon of rhythm and drumming with the Greater Lansing Area Drummers,” according to www.meetup.com.
This is free event where families and all ages are welcome. Bug spray and something to sit on are also mentioned as necessary. Extra instruments will be available for use as long as supplies last.
