LCC’s Washington Square Review is Lansing Community College’s literary review journal. After a hiatus and a 2022 return, the journal is looking for submissions once again.

Writers looking to show off their work, as well as have it reviewed, can submit fiction, creative non-fiction or poetry pieces up until Feb. 21, 2023.

The journal was brought about in the late 1970’s by Donia Nolden.

The intention is to bring community and writing, as well as art together at LCC, according to the WSR website.

“A town square is an open, public space, conceptualized to be the heart of a community,” the website states. “Here, at the Washington Square Review, we see our name as a signpost that unifies location and purpose.”
