The LCC women's basketball team defended its home court Wednesday, Jan. 12, winning 42-37 against Ancilla College.
"It feels good to get in the winning column, especially after the start of our season," LCC freshman Elysia Causley said.
This win put the Stars' overall record at 3-10, and at 2-1 in the MCCAA Western Conference.
"My thoughts on this game are that we played as a team, and we finally got the win," LCC sophomore Riley Merryfield said.
Causley led the Stars with 17 points. Freshman Emily Sinclair grabbed six rebounds to lead LCC.
"We're finally starting to play like a team and … it showed today," Causley said. "That's how you win games."
"We are on a roll," Merryfield said. "We got two wins (back-to-back) and we are looking to beat Grand Rapids on Saturday."
The Stars are scheduled to play at Grand Rapids Community College on Saturday, Jan. 15.
